The latest climate science from the IPCC - described by the UN as “code red for humanity” - shows it is still possible to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C, but we are dangerously close to that threshold. It is beyond important that rapid and deep emission cuts are made so that we halve global emissions before 2030 and achieve net-zero before 2050.
What Does SBTi Approval Mean?
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) helps companies set science-driven goals to reduce emissions in line with the latest climate science. Having our targets approved by the SBTi supports us on our way to achieving net-zero emissions by 2045. We’re not just setting goals; we’ve set credible, science-backed targets, and we’re demonstrating leadership and will encourage all our stakeholders to align with climate science by committing to science-based 1.5°C and net-zero targets too.

By sharing our verified greenhouse gas emissions data, we will ensure that we can be held accountable for our progress. It's all about building trust, and we want to lead by example so that others in the industry are inspired to follow suit.
