Lengths of Pipe

What are the different lengths of pipe?

Sticks of Pipe

Straight pipes are referred to as 'sticks' and are used for large diameter polyethylene (PE) pipes of 90 mm diameters and above. These pipes cannot be coiled due to their increased rigidity. Typical lengths are 6 m and 12 m with longer options such as 15 m and 30 m.

Coils of Pipe

Coiled pipe refers to smaller diameter polyethylene (PE) pipe that can be supplied in long coils up to 180 mm in diameter. Standard coil lengths are 50 m and 100 m.

One of the main advantages of using coiled pipe is that the continuous nature reduces the requirement for the number of joints and fittings, reducing costs and improving efficiency.
