The wind power from an on-site turbine fuels an Electrolyser that splits water (H2O) into Hydrogen and Oxygen. While Oxygen takes to the skies, Hydrogen seamlessly enters the grid, powering 300 homes with clean energy for heating and cooking.
Here's where Radius Systems steps in: Over 14,000 meters of our cutting-edge PP1547-rated Hyperion pipe, accompanied by 120 precision-engineered gate valves were supplied to the H100 Fife Hydrogen village trials in Scotland.
And guess what? Not only are our Hyperion pipes approved for 100% hydrogen use, paving the way for a hydrogen-powered heating network, but our Shellcoat YE range is also conversion ready allowing for a smoother transition from methane gas to hydrogen. This is history in the making as Fife becomes the epicentre of the world's first hydrogen-to-homes heating network.
